This unique background grants her insights into healthcare’s social dynamics. Faiza’s hobbies include acrylic painting and writing children’s books. Founding Research Connect, she aims to facilitate medical contributions, fostering collaboration for enhanced patient care. Her diverse interests span dermatology research to AI in healthcare, aligning her to catalyze medical progress globally. With compassion and versatility, Faiza aspires to improve healthcare accessibility and inspire young minds.

Christopher Farkouh
Christopher Farkouh, a fourth-year medical student and is dedicated to preventive medicine and global welfare. With a Bachelor of Science in anthropology and public health from Washington University in St. Louis, he values cultural and economic influences on health. After pre-clinical years, he embarked on a research year focused on dermatological pathologies. Recognizing the need for research connections, he co-founded Research Connect, aiming to enhance student contributions. Beyond medicine, Christopher indulges in piano, fencing, and competitive e-sports.

Parsa Abdi
Parsa is a third-year medical student with a strong passion for research and innovation. He earned a gold medal in chemical engineering for achieving the highest grade point average in his graduating class. In 2024, he was honored with induction into the Student Canadian Medical Hall of Fame. He co-founded Vitiligo Voices Canada, aiming to raise awareness and provide support for patients with vitiligo. Through Research Connect, he aims to foster collaboration between students and established researchers, breaking down barriers to quality medical research. Outside of medicine, Parsa is passionate about fitness and constantly seeks personal growth.

Michael J. Diaz
Michael is a third-year medical student. His interests broadly include healthcare policy, Web3.0, and dermatogenomics. He holds a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering with minors in biomedical physics and statistics. Today, he runs a D2C bioinformatics sales agency and mentors UiM pre-health students across the nation. Through ResearchConnect, he ambitions to create a one-stop-shop for all things quality medical research that is unburdened by geographic constraints and university resources. When not busy, Michael is an avid watch collector, hockey fan, and hound dad.
